New Tot Book

Here is the new Tot book I made Brodie. If you remember reading in the past I have made him a Cars book and Curious George. He really loves these. He always wants to get them out and look at them. This one is all about construction trucks, his favorite! If you are interested in making this one or any others this blog called 1+1+1=1 has them to download.

Also here is a picture of the new color game I made for the boys. I made one for each of them. I just matched up the paint with the colored pom poms I had and painted the egg holders. The boys have to put the pom poms in the correct color.

This week is the letter "J" Here are the jellyfish we made yesterday. Brodie loved watching the videos of jellyfish I found online. I couldn't break him away! And it was really funny listening to him trying to say tentacles!

Do you have your lessons all planned out for each letter or do you wait till a week or so before to choose your projects?

I love your posts about the projects. You are so creative! You are going to have the smartest kids in class for sure.

I have lots of ideas for different letters. I keep them all in a special notebook. Each week though I sit down and write up a schedule of things I want to do for the week. For example I always start Monday with a new letter, they color a letter page and I have Brodie try and write it. Then I have little projects for them to do. Usually each day is something new.

I try and plan out at least a week in advance. If I am not prepared when I sit down with them to do something they lose interest. Especially if I am running around the house getting supplies. So I TRY and have everything right there and ready. So if there are things that need to be cut and so on I already have that done.

Sometimes they are not in the mood though so some days it doesn't always work the way I want it to. I just go by their moods. Some days are better then others!

Oh and thanks for the nice compliment! I can't really take credit for most of the stuff I do. Usually I have read about it somewhere or seen it on a website or blog. Sometimes I alter the ideas a little and every great once in awhile I come up with something on my own!

I thought of you when I saw that lapbook put up last week and I knew I'd see it on here before long! I considered doing it for Toby even though it'd be way too easy for him just because he'd love the machines. Maybe he could just use it to teach Lilly!
