Happy Birthday Tony

Well it's official we have 2 teenagers in the house. Tony celebrated his 13th birthday on the 22nd. I can't believe he is a teenager already. Time goes so fast.

Here he is showing off his Sonic the Hedgehog cake.
He was very excited to receive a Lego set, MP3 player and a new game for his Nintendo DS.

Drew almost ruined things by blowing out the candles. Thankfully he stopped in time for Tony to make a wish and blow out the candles himself!Happy Birthday Tony, life wouldn't be the same without you. We love you so much!

Late Night Visitor

This last week we have had our compost bin on the deck raided quite a few times. The other night while Will and I watched TV we heard a huge thud. At first we thought it was a child falling out of bed. After finding everyone snug in their beds we tuned the lights on outside and found this on our deck.

The reason behind the late night messes. This huge coon was feasting in our compost bucket. I had even put a brick on top of it and he managed to get it off and knock the bucket over. He wasn't scared of us. Will and I stood and watched him through the window in the door. Even turned the light on and off and it didn't phase him. He just looked at us.

Happy Baby

Here is our sweet little Emily. She is just over 3 1/2 months old now. She has finally gotten over the colic-y cry that she was doing each evening. She has settled into a pretty good routine. She nurses about every 3 hours and takes 1 long nap in the morning, 1 nap after lunch, a nap with her daddy when he gets home from work and usually a little cat nap in the evening. Ohhh to be a baby!
As you can see from the pictures she is full of smiles.
And giggles. She is very ticklish.
We took her in last week to the doctor because she has been spitting up so much. She has reflux pretty bad just like her brothers did. It doesn't stop her from gaining weight though. She weighed in at 12 lbs 15 oz! We aren't going to do anything to treat her at this time.

Life is so sweet!
We had a great weekend. Friday night we spent the evening with some friends that we haven't seen in forever! We had a good time catching up and letting our kids play (between the 2 of us we have 9 kids!)

Saturday we had Will's parents and sister and my step brother over and we celebrated the kids birthdays. We played games and laughed some more.

Sunday was quiet and we spent much of the day watching movies. It raining and windy so it was a perfect day to spend snuggled under a blanket.

Happy Birthday Jake

Wow 15. Jake celebrated his 15th birthday yesterday. It was a gorgeous day. Unseasonable weather with temps near 70 degrees!

We had a good afternoon. Jake opened his gifts and was very happy to receive a giftcard to Best Buy, an attachment for his game controller and a ticket to Lazer Fest. A concert he really wants to go to this Spring (his Dad will be accompanying him). Trying to plan his cake was hard! So I decided on an army theme. He thought it looked really good.Hard to believe he is 15. Time goes so fast. Happy Birthday Jake, we love you more than you could ever know.

Scrapbooking

I scrapbooked for the first time in 3+ years the other night. It was awesome! Will took all FIVE children out of the house for almost 4 hours, so I could have some quiet time with my friend. She commented that it was strange to have the house so quiet! It was strange.

In those 4 hours I got 10 pages done! I haven't journaled on them yet. I am hoping to get that done this weekend. Tony wanted to see the pages as soon as he got home. Once he looked at them he said "you still got it Mom". Love that kid!

We have finally got some crafting in. The kids haven't been in the mood to craft for awhile. Right now they are more into army guys, star wars guys, playing dogs and cars. Every once in a while if it involves scissors and glue Drew is willing to participate.

We made these snowmen scenes the other day. We used chalk and glitter to make the snow. We read the book Snowmen at Night. I like to do crafts that go along with a book.
Brodie's picture is on the left and Drew's is on the right. We have gotten a few Valentine's crafts in. I never did get my Valentine decorations out of the bin downstairs. I figured there is no point now. Maybe the St. Patricks day decorations will get up.

Whew! What a crazy week it has been already and it's only Tuesday. Our Jeep died last Thursday, we finally got it taken into the mechanic yesterday. Today they called and said there was nothing they could do for us because it is a computer problem. Now we have to try and get it in somewhere else yet today.

Not having a vehicle has made it difficult to get Brodie to preschool. Thankfully I have family near me who are willing to help us out. THANK YOU!

We also have had problems with our internet and phone not working. So I spent 25 minutes on the phone this morning trying to solve that issue. Jake has been home for 2 days with a fever and sore throat, so I am taking him into the doctor this afternoon. Crossing my fingers it is nothing major and the other kids stay healthy.

I have been busy going through the last 3 years of photos on my computer. I am trying to get them organzied and ordered so that I can start scrap booking again. I am excited to do this but not sure how much time I will actually have to spend doing it. Once warmer weather gets here most of my time will be outside in the yard!

Speaking of Spring, I am trying to figure out my garden plans. Needing to take inventory on the items I canned last year to see if I want to do more or less this year. Ahhh so many things to do, so little time.
