Easter 2015

Decorating eggs the day before!

Easter morning was a bit chilly but that didn't stop the kids from getting up early to find the backyard full of Easter eggs!

Pictures mom, really?  This picture is pretty funny.  They were actually really excited, however this picture certainly doesn't show that.
Ready.  Set.  Go.

The kids weren't the only ones who were excited about the eggs.  The raccoon's found the eggs as well.  They clawed them open and then opened up the candy inside them.  They are such clever animals.  I was missing quite a few hard boiled eggs as well.

Besides candy for breakfast I also made bunny pancakes.
We spent the afternoon at my moms house with my brother and sisters family.  The kids got some good cousin time in.

Down Time

Yesterday I had surgery.  They corrected my bunions on both sides of my left foot.  A few years ago I had my right foot worked on.  The first doctor who did it wrecked my foot requiring me to have a second surgery from a different doctor 6 months later.  I swore I would never do it again.  However the last year I have been having increasing pain in my left foot.  It really got bad when I started working out again.

So, I gave in and had the surgery, hoping that this will be an easier, quicker recovery.  They shaved the bones and placed 2 screws on each side.  Today has been rough to say the least.  Thankfully Will is taking great care of me.  He has kept the kids busy, house picked up, and has done all the duties that I usually do throughout the day.  Plus he has gotten me ice packs, drinks, meds, and anything I ask of him he graciously does it.  I'm so lucky to have him!

I don't do well with just sitting.  I have been going a little stir crazy already and it's only been 24 hours! I'm pretty swollen and have slept on and off most of the day.  Hoping tomorrow is a little better and I can venture out of my chair at least.

Finding Balance

Lately I have been having a real issue finding balance in my life.  There are so many things I want to do.  Scrapbook, reading, blogging, puzzles, gardening.  There are so many things I need to do.  All the financials, spring cleaning, phone calls, appointments, kids practices and events, the list is never ending.

I always feel like there are so many things that need to be done that I don't have any time to do the things I want to do.  I often think my priorities are all screwed up but I don't know how to fix it.  When I talked to Will about trying to make a decision regarding my blogs, whether I should do my frugal blog or my mom blog, his response was why can't you do both?  Time.  It all comes down to time.  I really want to do both.  He suggested I make a schedule.

So I guess that is what I am going to try and do.  Make a schedule.  I keep thinking I don't know how I would ever manage an outside job while juggling all the other things that are going on.

There are so many things I want to blog about.  I never finished Will and I's Vegas vacation posts, our trip to South Carolina to see Jake graduate from basic training, the kids starting school, not to mention all their events...yikes so many awesome things have been happening.

I've said it before, I really want to start blogging on here again to keep myself, as well as our friends and family up to date on what is going on with us.  I am really hoping to find some balance and find time for myself doing the things that I want to do.
