Well here is the scoop. Drew's MRI was normal. Thank goodness. I spoke with my Pediatrician who is not sure what is going on. He is referring us back to see out ENT doctor who put in Drew's ear tubes in the Spring. He said sometimes you can get "tympanic fluttering" and it feels like crawlers in there but there is usually no pain. Soooo...we will have to wait and see what that Dr. says. We have an apt. on Friday afternoon. Thanks for thinking of us.

At least 6 different vaccines have "ear infections" listed as adverse reactions. Check out this website, maybe the vaccines are causing problems with the ears:

Yes, because we'd rather have our children die of Polio or Measles or Meningitis than have a couple crumby ear infections... good point.

I guess "Ignorance is bliss" for people like anonymous.
Do some research on vaccines and how many were given in 1983 compared to today. Children in 1983 received 10 vaccines by the time they were 6 years old. Today, children receive 48 shots by the time they are 6. Can you say "overload!!" ?? Heavy metals, live viruses, aborted fetal tissue, monkey kidney, etc. in these vaccines. For those of us who only received 10 vaccines, we are all fine and have had no diseases. Children do not need 48 shots nowadays. It's an overload on a poor child's developing system and just a way for the big pharmaceutical companies to get yet more money. A child's blood brain barrier isn't even fully developed when they are receiving 8 vaccines at ONE TIME. Aluminum and mercury are freely passing into their brain cells. Of course this can affect our dear children neurologically and cause all sorts of chronic illnesses.
Anyway, just do some research on vaccines - let's not be a society where we don't question anything. Unless you follow the motto "ignorance is bliss".

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I by no means want to change your mind. Do what is right for you. What is right for me, as a healthcare professional who gets no kick backs from vaccine manufacturers and as a mother to three healthy, wonderful children- vaccines are right for us.

I watched a family bury their beautiful, perfect 5 month old boy who died of a strain of meningitis that would have been prevented had they opted for Prevnar. I have a patient that has pleaded to speak with any parent who refuses vaccines because of the isolation and ridicule she faced as one of the last children with polio in her town. Look at the mortailty rate before vaccines were given. It wasn't uncommon for a family to bury 1 or 2 of their 5 children- all from disease that can be prevented now.

Herd immunity is failing. So for years unvaccinated kids were ok- but the incidence of infection with deadly childhood illness that is vaccine preventable is on the rise. With the increase in foreign travel, the danger is even higher.

I by no means want to change your mind or tell you what is right for your child. I agree their are unecessary vaccinations. I would even suggest that vaccines are the lesser of two evils. But what scares me the most is a mom that refuses vaccines and then brings me a baby with a 104 degree fever. My differential of ear infection, virus, or pneumonia now includes untreatable deadly disease- as a parent that would un-nerve me. Perhaps you have greater fortitude than I.

The only person I am anonymous to is you. I have informed the owner of this blog that I was "anonymous" in an attempt to not upset anyone who may be her friend. That is not my intent. More over, I do not feel this blog is a forum for debate and will not respond further. My opinion won't change and neither will yours. I'm ok with that. I just feel a responsibility to society to remind them why vaccines are given- because it's easy to lose sight of that.

Like anonymous, I too feel a responsibility to society and especially to Drew, and I have commented in your more recent posting. I hope that the anonymous healthcare commentor will research more into the vaccine topic and not just repeat what she's been taught in medical/nursing school. This all really comes down to Drew, bottom line, and that is why in your more recent blog post, I posted some websites that I hope you will read/watch (video). Even if you may not agree with it, it is still good to be a well-informed parent, don't you think? That means well-informed on BOTH sides of the coin.
If the doctors have no answers for you, Sara, then don't you think u owe it to yourself and to Drew to do a little more research on this topic? Millions of children in the US have chronic illnesses and it's getting worse... please don't just bypass this topic Sara, please just do the research yourself.....

Please read this article by another healthcare professional, Dr. Donald W. Miller, cardiac surgeon and Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Hopefully this will answer some of your questions that the doctors you go to couldn't answer:
