First Smiles

Here are some pictures of Emily smiling. She has really started smiling alot this last week. It is so much fun to talk to her and see her whole face light up.

The boys really enjoy talking to her and seeing her smile. Pretty sure she has them all wrapped around her finger and now that she is smiling it is undeniable.

Christmas Cookies

Christmas eve day we decorated sugar cookies. Unfortunately Tony wasn't feeling well so he didn't join us.The boys had to pick special cookies out for Santa.
And here is our proof that Santa came.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Bryan's

Christmas evening was spent with Will's parents and sister. We had a great time. We opened presents around the fireplace, had a wonderful dinner and played games. I got caught up on some sleep there too because between Aunt Jenny and Grandma, Emily was well taken care of.
Jen made this adorable hat for Emily. She isn't real happy that we put it on her. She was kinda fussy on Christmas. Too much excitement maybe.

Here is the awesome apron Jen made me. Isn't it cute? Love the chickens.
Tony and his Fushigi ball. Magical!
Brodie loves his new truck. You can never have enough farm equipment.Grandma is so funny. We got a kick out of her playing Tony's DS. We all know she loves Sonic.

Christmas at Grandma Marcia's

After opening gifts at our house, each year we head next door to my mothers house and celebrate Christmas with my brother and sister and their families. We opened gifts, played games and of course ate!

Here we have a good game of Blokus going on.
Drew and Lilly are playing Operation. Here are my kids (minus Emily) and my sisters kids (minus her oldest boy) with all their hats on that Aunt Maria made them. Way to go Maria!
And here is grandma Marcia holding baby Emily. Merry Christmas!

Emily's First Christmas

Here is baby girl in her Christmas dress given to her my grandma Marcia. Doesn't she look sweet? This is the first dress she has worn. I am also loving the headband given to her by a good friend of mine.

Daddy was taking the photos and after awhile she started to get a little tired of getting her picture taken. Finally she just gave up. It was too much work trying to sit up for pictures. She got a second Christmas dress from a work friend of Will's. She looked like a little snow angel in this dress.

Christmas Morning

The kids were told to not wake us before 6am. At 2am I woke up to both Jake and Tony up. Jake was sitting in the chair next to me and Tony was looking at the presents under the tree. Thankfully Santa had already came. In years past he might not have made it before 2am! After telling them to go back to bed I was again woken up at 5:30am. I figured at that point it was a lost cause to tell them to go back to bed so I let them stay up. At exactly 6am they woke up their dad and younger brothers. Let the excitement begin...Stockings were first to be opened. As a kid I loved opening my stocking gifts. I could always rely on some lip smackers chap stick.
Here is Drew, barely away with his new horse! He can sit on it and it even makes noises when you press the ear. This completes the cowboy obsession. Brodie was hollering when he opened up his x-box game Star Wars Unleashed! This was the main thing he wanted for Christmas.Jake and his Nerf vest.Every picture of Tony his face is covered up. Here he is opening a Star Wars transformer.
Baby girl was just content watching her brothers open gifts.
I would say the kids made out pretty good this year. Everyone was excited about their gifts. I myself got a new pair of slippers, a coffee grinder, a popcorn machine and a Wilton donut pan!

Emily 6 Weeks Old

Here is Emily at 6 weeks old. What you can't see behind the scenes is Brodie and Drew helping me take her picture. They are talking to her and trying to get her to smile.

She has discovered her tongue and likes to stick it out quite frequently.

She is starting to really fill out her clothes. I have had to put away a few of her newborn clothes already because she is getting too big.

Gingerbread Houses

Me, Will and the boys have decided that making gingerbread houses or graham cracker houses will forever be a tradition at our house. We had a really good time making these and all the kids did a really good job. Brodie helped me pick out all the goodies to decorate the houses. We also frosted ice cream cones and made them into trees. Here is Jake's.Tony made a scenery inside his house. He put in a Christmas tree and gumdrops as the gifts.Brodie was proud of his house. Here is mine! And here is Drew's. Typical Drew, more frosting on him than on the house. This is the typical scene with Will. He is always the last one left at the table. He goes above and beyond. But I must admit his house was pretty cool. After we admired them for awhile the kids were able to eat them.
